The purpose 4-H is to grow confident, capable and caring kids with the life skills to thrive in today’s world and succeed. 4H is open to middle school students at Fisher and anyone interested in becoming a member should see Mrs Champagne.
The National Honor Society (NHS) is a national organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. It not only recognizes honor roll students it also serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Fisher’s NHS chapter is led by Ms Lara Arceneaux and is committed to living up to the ideals of this prestigious organization. Fisher is very proud of its students achievements and is proud to welcome new members to it ranks every year.
The Student Council is committed to the support and development of student leadership skills and knowledge, helping to build a climate of caring and tolerance through volunteerism and service of others. It also promotes student voice and encourages students engagement in Fisher and the Lafitte community through leadership and decision making. Fisher is proud to have an active chapter of the International Key Club. The key club is a student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership. Anyone interested in joining this service organization should contact it’s adviser Mrs Jones.
